Maybe we can brainstorm a way to help her adjust? We may not be together anymore, but I care about her a lot still, and I know Cheryl adores her just as much.
[It's hard not to catch Steve's slight uncertainty around the contact and while Felix doesn't draw attention to having seen it, he does pull away after a moment, not wanting to make the younger man uncomfortable.]
I feel it's less helping her to adjust as reminding her she's not alone and doesn't need to try and push herself to being 'used to' our circumstances. It's alright to be upset and need to talk about what has happened. Or to need help.
I think many of us could do with remembering that.
