It just sucks that they're forced to do this over and over, it feels like in another life that Frank, Joey, Julie, and Susie we all would've been friends, but now the entity is torturing is us all.

[ Even Futaba can tell Steve is seriously out of sorts and despite her flippant phrasing earlier, she wasn't actually joking when she said she's really starting to worry quite a bit about him. He sounds an awful lot like someone she knew well back home, talking about how he can relate to a certain other mass murderer who greatly impacted her life. ]
Maybe, maybe not. Just because we're all in a similar situation and all of us teenagers doesn't mean we're the same though. They made their choices back home and we made ours. That's what sets us apart.
Give yourself a little more credit, Steve. I'm not saying they didn't have it hard, but you've gone through your own struggles too and managed not to end up a cold-blooded murderer. Neither did I or Nancy, so I don't know if we really would have been friends, honestly.
