[ Steve sees streaks of red on the floor by Kate, and starts freaking out. She's still fighting though, and Steve can't miss any of the action. He grabs a spare piece of wood from the remnants of a broken pallet, and charges at Ghost Face with all his might.
Ghost Face, to Steve's credit, does leave Kate alone for a second to focus on the boy in blue short shorts charging at him. Who wouldn't? Steve swings his arm, trying to nail his makeshift bat right on Ghost Face's jaw, to askew his mask even more, but misses entirely and the momentum carries him to a nearby window ledge, which he clumsily then vaults.
Ghost Face is just caught in the middle of these two not sure who to pursue. ]
[That's not running. Not even remotely? But the distraction is welcome, because whoof, her head is pounding and it's probably the alcohol at this point. But Steve makes a vault, loudly, sloppily, and Kate turns heel and runs the opposite way, giving a loud, shrill whistle to hopefully keep attention on her.
Of course, she's not looking back, only hoping that he'll follow her. She needs to make more distance, after all.]
[ Steve hears her whistle and turns to look at her, but instead sees Ghost Face's figure getting bigger? OH. Cool cool cool, Steve's the one being chased.
Steve runs, drunkenly stumbling around, out towards the corn field, thinking maybe he can lose the ghost by being stealthy. Stealth was not going Steve's way right now though, so the ghost is right on his tail. Well maybe the other's can at least work on generators while he avoids getting hooked. Again. ]
That all you got, you creepy fuck? [ He yells loudly and drunkenly. Oh bad idea, looks like Ghost Face is running faster now.]
[Wow? Wow. That is not cool, and unfortunately Kate is several steps too far away when she realizes that he heart is calming down and not speeding up.
But also, it's a terrible idea to let Steve get chased, considering he's already been on the hook. She hasn't and that means she's gotta take one for the team.
Honestly she'd take being stabbed over him being stabbed regardless of his situation. Sure, her time would be better spent working on a generator, but the distant ring of one being activated at least reassures her that something is being done as she turns on her heel to go (hopefully) rescue Steve.]
[ Steve's heart is pounding in his head, fear and adrenaline fueling him while he runs in the corn fields while yelling drunken insults at Ghost Face.
Wait, isn't he supposed to go stealthy? He ducks down low, and goes a bit slower and more methodically than before, trying to avoid leaving any tracks or marks that someone hunting him could easily keep an eye out for. He hears the ding of a generator go off, too busy lying low to see where it came from. Maybe it was Kate, or someone else. Oh well, at least it was getting done.
Steve seems to have lost Ghost Face, but his heart was still pounding and he knows that he's nearby. Maybe Steve can catch Kate or she can catch him before more trouble arises. Maybe his head will stop spinning, and make things easier on him. Getting drunk is fun, but maybe they should have a hard limit. He should discuss this with Kate later. Maybe over a drink. ]
