[ Steve falls over laughing at her story, its just so funny. ]
Damn, Kate. That's crazy, I'm glad you made it out! Maybe the Pig really does just wanna be one of us... [ Steve has one of those random sad drunken moments, but he's back to his chipper self in just moments. ]
One time, Ghost Face saw me hide in a locker super obviously. And he just shook his head side to side saying no. He let me walk out, run away and we tried the chase again. I think he was just toying with me.
(ooc: true story also, funniest thing ever.)
i love doing stuff like that at baby ranks its so funny to see how long it takes people to notice
I've had a few of them do that to me. Always super embarrassing when they just stand there, waitin' on you to come out of the locker.
[Because they know. And you know that they caught you.
And honestly, the embarrassment in that moment is worse than the fact that it means that she's going to either get killed or strung up on a hook for it.]
Oh man, I was baby ranks like 3 weeks ago hahaha, so mean yet so hilarious
Honestly, I'd rather just die at that point. The entity may feed off all my fear and hopelessness, but at least I go out without the friggin embarrassment.
[ It's especially embarassing because they're facing ghost face right now, and steve is worried it's going to happen again. ]
oh,,, im a rank 1 braindead survivor. touches your baby cheeks.
Well, I don't know about dyin', but I do know that I'd rather not see the killer that saw me pull that stunt for a few rounds. [Pause, and Kate gives an aggrivated huff as she touches two wires together perfectly.]
Which is usually when the Entity sees fit to throw me at 'em six times in a row.
woah now you're talking to someone whos escaped like 24 times in 37 hours played ok im trash hahaha
[ Steve realizes he hasn't exactly been helpful the past few minutes, and starts working on the gen. ]
The entity is a real bitch sometimes, but it makes you stronger, sugar. Plus look at how well you just did those wires! [ Steve drunkenly imitates the motions with his own wires, but sets off a loud explosion. ]
SHIT. Ok well I guess it's time for me to loop Ghost Face. [ He knows that was his mess up, and he'll take the fall when Ghost face inevitable shows up soon. ]
[Kate's flinch is entirely delayed after the explosion happens. She's really in no state to be doing this, and it's obvious that Steve isn't that much better. Or worse.
They're probably about even, honestly.]
You, [Kate starts in a slur, despite her best efforts] will be doing no such thing. You'll trip trying to go through a window. Or knock yourself on the head with a pallet. I, will be the one looping him. Besides, I already pulled you off of a hook.
[ Steve, also, slurring heavily with no intention to, wants to argue and take the fall ]
No...Maybe I will trip. But like you said, you pulled me off the hook. I owe you, sugarsweetiepiehoneybuns, and I won't let you talk me out of this. You be the one to run, I'm very distracting, just ask any of my old teachers.
I haven't been strung up like a Christmas ornament yet. [She jabs a thumb at herself, and then points at him.] Which means it's better if I take the heat.
[But also, they really need to be fixing a generator and not arguing.
Fine. I'll stay here with the generator. You loop the ghost. Together we win?
[ Just then Ghost face appears out of a shadow, I mean they gave him long enough to show up, right? Steve gasps and tries to get out of sight. Hopefully the smell of booze pouring off them doesn't make it impossible to stay hidden.]
Psst, Kate go run...[ He whispers loudly. C'mon steve... ]
[ Steve ducks down when the generator goes up in smoke, is this some sort of distraction for him to get away while drawing attention to Kate? Because when she tackles ghost face, he cheers for a second before catching himself. ]
OH SHIT KATE ARE YOU OK!??!
[ Steve isn't running, just standing and watching this chaos ensue. ]
I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL CHERYL ABOUT THIS [ he drunkenly slur/yells. ]
[She's gonna kick his ass? Or at least attempt to. The killers are more or less blessed by the Entity to be absolute powerhouses, but Kate is wily.
And sloppy. She misses being full on stabbed, but there's a gash in her side that-
She actually doesn't feel through adrenaline and liquor. She swings her left fist wide, and it connects with his face. Or rather, her wrist does, but it's really the attempt that matters, because it's enough to slightly askew his mask.]
[ Steve sees streaks of red on the floor by Kate, and starts freaking out. She's still fighting though, and Steve can't miss any of the action. He grabs a spare piece of wood from the remnants of a broken pallet, and charges at Ghost Face with all his might.
Ghost Face, to Steve's credit, does leave Kate alone for a second to focus on the boy in blue short shorts charging at him. Who wouldn't? Steve swings his arm, trying to nail his makeshift bat right on Ghost Face's jaw, to askew his mask even more, but misses entirely and the momentum carries him to a nearby window ledge, which he clumsily then vaults.
Ghost Face is just caught in the middle of these two not sure who to pursue. ]
[That's not running. Not even remotely? But the distraction is welcome, because whoof, her head is pounding and it's probably the alcohol at this point. But Steve makes a vault, loudly, sloppily, and Kate turns heel and runs the opposite way, giving a loud, shrill whistle to hopefully keep attention on her.
Of course, she's not looking back, only hoping that he'll follow her. She needs to make more distance, after all.]
[ Steve hears her whistle and turns to look at her, but instead sees Ghost Face's figure getting bigger? OH. Cool cool cool, Steve's the one being chased.
Steve runs, drunkenly stumbling around, out towards the corn field, thinking maybe he can lose the ghost by being stealthy. Stealth was not going Steve's way right now though, so the ghost is right on his tail. Well maybe the other's can at least work on generators while he avoids getting hooked. Again. ]
That all you got, you creepy fuck? [ He yells loudly and drunkenly. Oh bad idea, looks like Ghost Face is running faster now.]
[Wow? Wow. That is not cool, and unfortunately Kate is several steps too far away when she realizes that he heart is calming down and not speeding up.
But also, it's a terrible idea to let Steve get chased, considering he's already been on the hook. She hasn't and that means she's gotta take one for the team.
Honestly she'd take being stabbed over him being stabbed regardless of his situation. Sure, her time would be better spent working on a generator, but the distant ring of one being activated at least reassures her that something is being done as she turns on her heel to go (hopefully) rescue Steve.]
[ Steve's heart is pounding in his head, fear and adrenaline fueling him while he runs in the corn fields while yelling drunken insults at Ghost Face.
Wait, isn't he supposed to go stealthy? He ducks down low, and goes a bit slower and more methodically than before, trying to avoid leaving any tracks or marks that someone hunting him could easily keep an eye out for. He hears the ding of a generator go off, too busy lying low to see where it came from. Maybe it was Kate, or someone else. Oh well, at least it was getting done.
Steve seems to have lost Ghost Face, but his heart was still pounding and he knows that he's nearby. Maybe Steve can catch Kate or she can catch him before more trouble arises. Maybe his head will stop spinning, and make things easier on him. Getting drunk is fun, but maybe they should have a hard limit. He should discuss this with Kate later. Maybe over a drink. ]
that's hilarious. Ghost Face has done that to me so many times when I was new lol

Liquid courage has never let them down before, but there is a reason it's called that.
Steve whisperyells and Kate jerks her head up, misses connecting two wires and has to wave her hand to get rid of the resulting smoke in her face.
If he didn't know they were there before, he does now.
The logical part if Kate's brain says she should run when he sets his sights on her.
The louder, inebriated part of her brain says that now is a good time to push off of the generator, yell, and tackle him.
Which is clearly not what he is expecting, because there's a resulting scuffle.
She'sgoing to end upngetting stabbed, but it makes for a great sight in the mean time.]
